As promised earlier, the US division of HTC delivered big news yesterday. Firstly, it came out with the Uh-Oh protection program which we have already written about and secondly, it surprised us by announcing that the HTC One M9 will make it to the shops in the US by the 10th of April 2015. The HTC One M9 will make its debut today in Taiwan, HTC’s homeland.
The HTC One M9 has been one of the most eagerly awaited smartphones of the year with rumors and leaked images floating all around the internet until it was finally confirmed. The device is purported to be available to the major retailers as early as the 10th of April and customers can purchase them right away.
The carriers will also be offering the HTC One M9 on April 10 alongside the retail offering. Specifics regarding the availability of the device and other details remain uncertain.
It is also worth noting that HTC is going head on with Samsung by launching the HTC One M9 on the same date when the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is being launched. The amount of confidence HTC has on its new device to make such a bold move is evident for all to witness.
Furthermore, Vice president of HTC America, Jason Mackenzie also announced that HTC has no plans of coming out with the Google Play version of the HTC One M9 as of now.
