Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are the next-in-line company’s flagships, with their possible launch at the IFA in September 2015. Even though Microsoft has recorded the largest quarterly loss of around $US 3.19 billion, mainly due its charges and job cuts in the mobile division, it is still looking forward to make a name with the upcoming launches.
According to reports, the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will be launched with specifications as seen in its recent dual flagships launches. Since the last flagship of Microsoft was Lumia 930, people have assumed these phones to be Lumia 940 and 940 XL. However, with new reports coming in, things have become a lot clearer. Code named as Talkman and Cityman, these phones will be available in the market as Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL respectively.
In the specifications department, the iris scanner can turn out to be the crowd puller for these devices, as this scanner is not available in most smartphones. These devices will support Qi wireless charging, a type C USB, and an infrared scanner for unlocking the device instantly.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 will apparently have a display of 5.2 inches having a resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels. Beneath the display, you can count on a Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with a 3GB RAM. It has got a 20-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This phone will have 32GB storage and a 3,000 mAh battery.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is reportedly having the same set of specs as that of 950 with only a few changes, including a larger display and a better processor. The Lumia 950 XL has got a display of 5.7 inches, an octa core Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3,300mAh battery giving more juice towards its battery life.
The Lumia devices will be available in Matte white or black polycarbonate color. Microsoft is yet to give any official statement regarding its price and launch date.
