Playstation 4 Keyboard and Mouse Announced, Named Tactical Assault Commander 4

A Playstation 4 keyboard and mouse system known as the Tactical Assault Commander 4 can now give PS gamers a feeling of  playing on the computer.  Launched by Hori, this Playstation 4 keyboard and mouse system is mainly developed for shooting type action games.

Although the Playstation 4 keyboard and mouse system will not have a complete keyboard, it still seems to be a product with great potential. Though the original Playstation 4 controller is used by default, console gamers have always dreamt of having the benefits of control a PC gamer does. The Tactical Commander 4 could help them realize their dream, at least partially.

The Playstation 4 keyboard and mouse system will be launched in October and priced around $130. The left analog controls of the DualShock 4 has been mapped into the keyboard (WSAD style) and the right controls are mapped to the mouse. It should be easy to use if you are familiar with the DualShock controller.

The Playstation 4 keyboard and mouse system also has the same PlayStation buttons as well. A touchpad is also present. Since it is designed for the shooter, there are special buttons for ‘walk’ and ‘snipe’ functions.

For the geeky part, the Playstation 4 keyboard and mouse system has an orange colored LED backlight. The Tactical Assault Commander is available to pre-order on Amazon and it is officially licensed by Sony. The buttons are also programmable.

The only drawback of this Playstation 4 keyboard and mouse system is that it is wired. Hori could have made a wireless version too, but it would have cost a lot. However, the Tactical Commander 4 is expected to perform better than its predecessor, the Tactical Commander 3. We will wait till it is released to learn more about it.
