The love for OnePlus Mini just doesn’t seem to decrease and with every new day, we are witnessing new leaks about the device. Yesterday’s leak is probably the most significant one as it not only confirms us that the name would be OnePlus Mini instead of OnePlus X, but it also gives us a snapshot of the spec list the Mini would sport.
2 days back, Amazon India accidentally made the OnePlus Mini live. The E-tailer was quick enough to take the listing down before any orders could be made, but a few individuals were able to capture the screenshot to make sure the leak gets noted.
The OnePlus Mini was made public by the US FCC and TENAA earlier this week. It was unfortunate that Amazon India could not provide us with any images, but the images of the OnePlus Mini were already obtained by the former leaks, so it is not really a major disappointment.
The OnePlus Mini will be fitted with a 5 inch 1080p display, as expected, and will be running on MediTek Helios X10 SoC which has eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, coupled to a PowerVR G6200 GPU. It is also stated to vb equipped with the ClearForce technology from Synaptics which could very well be OnePlus’ version of 3D-Touch. It is also a relief to know that the display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Mini will feature 2GB of RAM and a 2,450 mAh battery. It is also expected to be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow during launch, thanks in part to the home-brewed Oxygen OS 3.0. The OnePlus Mini is also confirmed to have a metal frame with what is called as a Side Touch functionality, but we are not sure what this could be but we like the sound of it. Unfortunately, it seems that the much despised invite-only system plagues the OnePlus Mini as well.
The OnePlus Mini is expected to be launched on October 29, according to information from the latest sources.
