Recently released Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be reaching out to the higher-end models of Samsung by December. Since Samsung has taken more time to roll out the Android 5 Lollipop update to its higher end models, it is working hard to update its devices faster this time.
A report said that Samsung may release Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 4 by the end of this year, before rolling it out to Galaxy Note Edge and Galaxy Note 3. The official website claimed that Samsung devices on contract with major carriers in the US — Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, and others – may get the firmware update when it is released to International counterparts.
On the other hand, GSM Arena has listed the following Samsung Models to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates: Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, Samsung Galaxy Note5, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Samsung Galaxy A8, Samsung Galaxy A7.
The list is small at the moment, but it is believed that other models will soon get the update. However, it is obvious that the higher end models will get the updates pretty sooner.
