“Mark my word. A combination of airplane and motorcar is coming. You may smile, but it will come. – Henry Ford, 1940.”
Henry Ford was right! Flying cars are no more a part of science fiction. They are already here, and you could see one quite soon if you are lucky. Slovakian company AeroMobil has recently declared that it will launch the AeroMobil 3.0, a car that transforms into a plane. With retractable wings and looks that resemble a Hot Wheels car which I used to play with when I was a child, the AeroMobil 3.0 definitely looks promising. After successful testing of the AeroMobil 2.5 – a prototype developed by the company, the AeroMobil 3.0 will be launched on October 29, 2014. So we believe that this might be the world’s first practical flying car.
These are the technical specifications of the AeroMobil, and this is the best way that they have put it in their site.
The AeroMobil is now a reality, thanks to the man behind all this. A pioneer who has led instrumental research for companies like Audi, Volkswagen and BMW, Štefan Klein has devoted more than 20 years in making his dream come true (something people like us will never do). But only two people can fit in the AeroMobil 3.0, maybe the 4.0 will try to accommodate four. Without much further ado, I wish to lead you into a visual treat and a preview of what the AeroMobil 3.0 will look like.
