Hovertrax – The Smaller Version of Segway

Segway’s two wheeled marvel was one of the best personal transportation products that were built in the previous years. But we all need to admit that they were quite big indeed.

If you enjoy listening more than reading, please listen to the audio article!

A new start up firm Solowheel has revealed a prototype of its new product  – the Hovertrax, which is quite similar in working to the Segway. However, Hovertrax is many times smaller than the Segway, and it  is very easy to be controlled. You just have to lean forward and backward to move in the respective directions. If you stand straight, the Hovertrax will slow down and stop.

Though it might not seem as easy as you think to operate at first, this personal transportation device comes in handy once you learn how to use it. The Hovertrax is not too big; it can even be slid under your desk at work, and it can practically be stored anywhere!

There are no technical specifications or details about the Hovertrax yet, but we hope it has a much better efficiency and range when compared to the previous Segway. The better news is that it is much cheaper too. The Solowheel HoverTrax retails at $995 and it can be purchased from here.  Keep visiting us for more from CES 2015!
