Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Launched at 1.18 Lakh INR

One of the most awaited Indian automobile launches has happened today. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was just launched in India today at an asking price of 1.18 Lakh.

The price is just ex-showroom Delhi, and more details regarding the on road price will be updated soon. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is claimed to be the ‘fastest Pulsar ever made’ by the company, and it will definitely thrill the Indian biker crowd. Bajaj has been improvising its Pulsar range of motorcycles for more than a decade, and the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the result of all that.

More than anything, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has some tunning looks, with a masculine faring at the front. Indian youth are attracted to fared motorbikes, though they do not have any use for commuting. This was instrumental in the sales of the Bajaj Pulsar 200F, which was launched  years ago. Bajaj later deviated from this and began to make naked bikes again.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was teased, and many images were leaked. The product is almost the same as the leaked images, and this proves that they were legit. There was a confusion whether this bike would have a 400cc engine or a 200cc engine, but the confusion is now clear. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is rumored to be engineered using the KTM Duke’s engine, and that might be true because of the Bajaj – KTM partnership.

But, Bajaj says that the engine is the same as the one as the Pulsar 200NS, and the same 6 speed transmission is fitted in. However, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is way faster than the 200NS. With 24.5PS power an  19Nm of torque, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 can only be tamed on the race track. Bajaj also claims that the RS 200 will have an efficiency of 54kmpl, and that is surprising for the performance.
