OnePlus has already been dropping hints about the DR-1 drone in the form of its posters claiming that a Game changer device is coming soon. The OnePlus DR-1 is a 70 mm micro drone which is extremely thin and light, and fits in your pocket. OnePlus has actually sold a limited quantity of the quadcopter drone on April 1.

The OnePlus DR-1 can fit in the palm of your hands and weighs approximately 12.5 grams. It is fitted with a considerably smaller 100 mAh battery that can keep it in the air for 7 to 8 minutes when charged for 20 minutes. The cost of OnePlus DR-1 is approximately $20 or £15. The drone comes with a dedicated controller and it is unlikely that you will be able to maneuver it using your phone.

The OnePlus DR-1 drone has a wingspan of just 70mm, but the best part is that you get bumper protection for all the rotors. Not all drone manufacturers offer bumper protection and initially it might seem like a very small thing, but is very vital for prolonging the life span of the drone.

Only time can tell how versatile and useful the OnePlus DR-1 drone will be when compared to the other big players in the mini air space. In case you are interested in reading more about the OnePlus DR-1 you can visit the official page here.
