The Cadillac ATS–V 2016 is different from the lineup of the other Cadillac ATS models, because this is the one which enters the fray of the Sports Sedan class, in which the rivalling cars already are the powerful ones. This Cadillac ATS–V 2016 does not borrow the engine from its predecessors in the ATS series, but comes with the uniquely manufactured Twin Turbo 3.6 liter V6 engine. What makes the engine so lovable is that the power flow is not so pushy, but gradually delivered to the wheels, such that it can be felt through your feet while accelerating. This engine is covered by the carbon fiber hood, which is a part of the attraction.
The kind of hardware that is enclosed in the Cadillac ATS–V 2016 makes it fun for those who are going to choose it, either for commuting or to play with it on a race track. The interiors of the car are not that distinctive from its previous versions of the ATS models, but they are really appealing, especially if this is going to be your first ATS model. The half analog and half digital speedometers have not worked out really well and it looks quite odd.
What is more fascinating for the driver is the steering wheel with its gorgeous looks and handling. One other very compelling feature that you would want to opt for on a large scale is the performance data recorder, which lets you record the track times with HD video, with which you can improvise yourself to become a better driver, or have fun by sharing it on social networks.
Design wise, the Cadillac ATS–V 2016 stands out from the other ATS models with new side skirts and a beautiful spoiler.
Coming to the numbers; you have a sedan and coupe version with 6 – speed manual or 8 – speed automatic which will churn 464 bhp and 445 lbs-ft of torque, speeding up to 189mph and 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. The Cadillac ATS–V 2016 boasts of being way faster than the BMW M3, whose top speed is 155mph.
But yes, people buy a Cadillac because it is a Cadillac, and not because of anything else.
