Automobile of the Week – 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale

Classic cars are always a feast for a car lover’s eyes, and there is no denying in that. In this week’s  Automobile of the Week section, we are featuring a classic again, and it is from a famous Italian company. The 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale looks like a Hot Wheels toy car, and we were surprised to know that it was actually made in 1968.

The design is completely futuristic, way ahead of the cars in those times. Needless to say, the 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale is a timeless beauty. If you look at it 100 years later (if you are alive), you will still say “Wow!”. It was built for racing, and this is very evident from its aerodynamic styling.

Alfa Romeo manufactured only 18 of these cars, and only 10 of them are supposed to be alive today. One of them is on sale now. No doubt the owner is selling it for a very big price, but according to us, it is priceless. But the one who buys it could very well know its price.

There are a lot of things to add to the 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale. It is an exciting car when it comes to performance, thanks to its amazing power to weight ratio. With a 230 hp  producing 2.0 liter V8 engine, the 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale had a 6-speed gear box. With 10,000 rpm, this beauty reached 100kmph in 5.5 seconds and reached a top speed of 260 kmph.

If you own a 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale, it might fetch you more than $3 million, but as we mentioned already, it is priceless. But you should be lucky enough to even see one in person. These timeless beauties are so rare indeed!
