Samsung has been working undercover with its Tizen phones for some time now. It is widely believed that Samsung wants to create its own self-dependent system rather than being dependent on Google’s Android OS.
Details about Samsung’s next Tizen device have already started emerging and it appears that for some reason Samsung is planning on naming it the Samsung Z3, skipping the Z2. This is further confirmed by the reports which suggest that the model number of the device would be SM-Z300H_SWA_DD.
Rumors so far have stated that Samsung Z3 will be equipped with a 5-inch display rocking a qHD resolution. No, its not the infamous Quad HD, but rather Quarter HD which maxes out at a resolution of 960×540. It is actually very inspiring to see the second Tizen device again cursed with the budget end specifications.
The Samsung Z3 is powered by a 64-bit quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC. It will be equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage which can be later expanded through the inclusion of a MicroSD card. The rear camera is 5 MP while the front camera is 2 MP. The Samsung Z3 is also expected to hold its thickness under 9mm. The battery is a 2,000 mAh unit and the Z3 will be available with all the other connectivity options such as Bluetooth v4.0, WiFi, etc.
The Samsung Z3 device is expected to run version 3.0 of the Tizen OS. Although no information about the dates has been announced yet, it is highly likely that Samsung will unveil its latest device at the Tizen Development Summit scheduled on 30th and 31st of July in India.
