Sony Xperia M5 is WaterProof, Has 21.5 MP Camera

The Sony Xperia M5 is here. It was just before a couple of months that we heard news about Sony quitting the mobile landscape. However, recent happenings beg to differ with Sony beginning to launch a number of new devices such as the Sony Xperia C5, C5 Ultra, Z5 and the M5. Apparently, Sony still makes smartphones.

Sony aims to capture the imagination of the masses with its innovation, and the Sony Xperia M5 is a brilliant mix of performance, style and durability. The specifications of the M5 are flagship grade, which starts with a 5 inch Full HD display backed by Sony’s mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 for enhanced visual output and those super saturated colors that we are used to seeing in Sony TVs.

The device is powered by the top of the line MediaTek Helio X10 processor, which is a 64-bit octa core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. It is paired with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory which can be further expanded upto 200 GB through the addition of a MicroSD card or a uSD card.

The key feature of the Sony Xperia M5 is its camera. The front facing camera is an amazing 13 MP home brewed unit which can record video in Full HD. The rear camera is a massive 21.5 MP unit, which Sony claims to take images and footage better than compact cameras. The Sony Xperia M5 is also capable of recording videos at 4K resolution (Ultra HD) which  puts it in direct competition with the other major flagships that can do so.

The Sony Xperia M5 would be available by mid-August in selected countries for around $400. What do you think about the turn of events happening around Sony, Do you think the handset maker can make a come back? Do let us know in the comments section below.
