The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has been launched today at a starting price of Rs. 8.34 Lakhs. This was one of the most awaited Crossovers in the Indian automobile market, and it is expected that it might receive a lot of bookings.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is available in different versions. The highest version will cost up to 13.74 Lakhs. While there is already quite enough competition going on in this sector, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has added fuel to the flame.
For its price, it is all set to take up the case of the Renault Duster and the recently launched Hyundai Creta in India. The diesel engines will come in two variants, namely 1.3 and 1.6-liter versions. The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross was expected a lot earlier, and this is actually quite late for its debut.
Maruti cleverly launched the S-Cross in a bid to prevent more customers from buying the Hyundai Creta, but the S-Cross can also be a competition to the Maruti Ertiga itself.
“There is a segment of customers in India who want power and performance in their vehicle, but also the comfort and refinement of a sedan. It is in that spirit today, we are launching S-Cross.”- Kenichi Ayukawa, MSI Managing Director & CEO.
Of course, Kenichi is right. Maruti Suzuki is indeed the leader in sales in the automobile segment in India, and the S-Cross has a good chance of making it here. Maruti also launched its exclusive NEXA showrooms to cater to its customers more effectively.
Bookings for the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross are now open and you could book yours at your nearest dealer. There is no information about the S-Cross on the company’s official website, but they should be posting something soon.
