New reports obtained from Android Police seem to suggest a possibility of a 128 GB Huawei Nexus 6P variant. If the news is true, then this would put the Huawei Nexus 6P level pegging with some of the big players like Samsung and Apple.
It would also make the Huawei Nexus 6P the first Nexus device to feature 128 GB of built-in storage if it’s out before the new LG Nexus 5X, and so far, the maximum amount of storage available has been 64 GB offered by the Motorola Nexus 6.
Given that the Nexus lineup of devices will not be equipped with MicroSD expansion slots, the bump in storage would be perceived as a blessing. The Huawei Nexus 6P will also be available in 32 GB and 64 GB variants and the pricing difference between different storage options will most likely be within the range of 50 – 100 USD.
Rumors so far have pointed out that the Huawei Nexus 6P will be equipped with a 5.7-inch quad HD (QHD) display and will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC revision 2. It will also bundle in at least 3 GB of RAM for uninhibited multi-tasking.
The Nexus device from Huawei is expected to make its first appearance alongside the LG Nexus 5X on September 29 in San Francisco. We sincerely hope the 128 GB version is brought to life, for the possibilities it will bring along with it would be endless.
