Coolpad (a smartphone company) is all set to take on the Lenovo K3 Note. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched its third product in India, the Coolpad Note 3, which is priced at Rs 8999 and exclusively available on Amazon.
The registrations have begun and the first sale will go on October 20. The users can register from here. The handset was launched in early august in China.
The Coolpad Note 3 has a fast access fingerprint reader. The company claims that the user can unlock the phone in less than 0.5 seconds and also the sensor can detect wet and dry fingers. With One Touch APP Access feature, users can access different applications assigned to each finger. It also comes with an application encryption feature.
Processor and Display
The Coolpad Note 3 is power packed with 1.3 GHz MTK6753 64-Bit Octa-Core MediaTek Processor, Mali –T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 4G LTE, Dual SIM Support. The phone has a 5.5 Inch HD IPS Display with a 178-degree wide viewing angle and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. The primary camera is 13 MP and front camera is 5MP. With 3000mAh battery capacity, the phone has a standby time of 400hrs.
New UI and Gestures
The Coolpad Note 3 runs on Cool UI 6.0. The newer version of Cool UI is expected to perform better and consume less power. The features like multi-window mode, double tap wake up, and smart gesture etc. are added to the new version.
Under 10k, this seems to be the only phone powered by Android 5.1 with 3GB of RAM and also has a fingerprint Reader. In this range, the closest competitors would be Yu Yureka Plus and the Lenovo K3 Note.
The Coolpad Note 3 might look good, but now comes the tricky part: after-sales support. The company is a newcomer with only two phones released before. It has set up an assembly and research center in Bangalore. The company claims to have opened 275 service centers across India covering major towns and cities. Currently, the official list is nowhere to been seen.
The Coolpad Official website has no information about support for its previous releases. So the consumers have to be careful. The only means found to communicate with Coolpad is through its Customer Care No. 1800-102-8571.
