Being a premium player in the smartphone industry and after making a name for itself, with the launch of the Oppo R7s, the Chinese manufacturer is only trying to affirm the same.
The Oppo R7s appears to be a beautifully constructed metal handset with a 2.5 D glass glorifying the front, the highlights also include 4 GB of RAM which should be plenty for even the most demanding task the Android system can cook up.
The Oppo R7s was recently launched at GITEX in Dubai. The handset sports a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which churns out a pixel density of 401 PPI. The chipset underneath is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC which has 8 x Cortex A53 cores clocked at around 1.7 GHz, although the internal frequencies may vary to facilitate better battery efficiency. The R7s has 4GB of RAM along with 32 GB of internal memory which can be further expanded with the help of a microSD card.
On the outside, the Oppo R7s will be as thin as 6.95 mm and will sport a 3070 mAh battery. The rear camera is 13 MP while the front camera is a generous 8 MP which is a cut above the competition.
The Oppo R7s will be launched with Android Lollipop 5.1 themed with ColorOS 2.1. The handset will be up for grabs in the Australian and Asian markets in the upcoming month and will subsequently be available in the European markets by December of 2015.
