The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-Y1 is probably the largest and strongest tablet sized at 20 inches. It can withstand a drop from up to 76 cm in height and the device can work under extreme temperatures ranging from 29 C to 60 C. The tablet is priced at Rs. 2,40,000 and Rs. 1,91,200 for Value version.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-Y1 runs on Windows 8.1 Pro Update and is powered by an Intel Core i5-5300 vPro chipset with Intel HD Graphics 5500 GPU. It has 8 GB of RAM and 20-inch 4K(230ppi, 15:10 aspect ratio) IPS alpha LCD display. In order to increase its performance, it comes with a 256 GB SSD.
Ports included are a USB 3.0 port, SDXC card slot, LAN port, HDMI 2.0 INPUT port (supports 4K) and Mini DisplayPort, headphone jack and a docking connector. For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. The value version of Panasonic Toughpad FZ-Y1 has 4GB of RAM and 128 GB SSD.
At this price and configuration the company plans to attract broadcasters, photographers, architects, and sales executives as its major consumers. The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-Y1 is packed in a 12.5 mm thick and 2.41 kg heavy body. The lightweight glass fiber chassis can be converted into a desktop mode with the cradle accessory. 20 inches may seem big to handle for personal use, but it may have wide applications in commercial and professional use such as designing, presentation etc.
