Music Stories: New Music Sharing Feature

With this new feature, users listening to songs from any streaming website can click share, copy it, and paste in Facebook and also add commentary to it and finally share among friends in Facebook. The friends seeing this can listen to a 30sec preview of the song in Facebook itself.

The giant in sharing messages, photos and videos has added songs also to the list. “We hope by making this experience better, artists will share more, friends will share and engage more, and music will become a better part of the Facebook experience overall,” Michael Cerda, director of product at Facebook said on the blog.

Facebook to Concentrate on TV Advertisements

Recently there has been an increase in Facebook stock price which went upto $109.44 on Thursday breaking the forecasts, Facebook said its video views surged to 8 billion per day in the third quarter, from just 1 billion a year earlier.

It also mentioned that in September it had 2.5 million active advertisers, a 25 percent jump from February. The latest Facebook news also reveals that it has come up with many plans to increase the number of TV ads which contributes to its revenue on a larger scale.

Notify Next Week: News App from Facebook

Recent news confirms that Facebook is preparing to launch a new standalone news app named Notify next week. The app will feature content from dozens of media partners including Vogue, the Washington Post, and CBS etc. Earlier, it has tied up with news partners to launch  “Instant Articles” which allows them to publish posts directly in Facebook.

In the recent report, Facebook has mentioned that “More than 1.55 billion people now visit Facebook at least once a month, up 14 percent from a year ago. Daily users increased by 17 percent, to 1.1 billion. As in previous quarters, a majority of users are visiting Facebook on mobile devices, and mobile ads contributed 78 percent of the company’s ad revenue.” EO Mark Zuckerberg told analysts Wednesday that Facebook users are now watching more than 8 billion video clips a day on the site, which is up from 4 billion in April.

Facebook has grown very high and become the second largest ad revenue generator after Google. We could see more new features from Facebook soon.
