Gionee has just announced the super slim Gionee S6. Gionee seems to be announcing phone after phone to cover the entire spectrum of the market with the recently announced the S Plus and the Elife E8 covering the mid-range and the top-end segment. The Gionee S6 will be yet another mid-ranger from the Chinese giant.
The Gionee S6 features a 5.5 inch 720p AMOLED display which is most probably adopted from the S Plus. It will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC and 3GB of RAM. It will be equipped with 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded using the available microSD slot.
The rear camera is a 13 MP while the front camera is a selfie-friendly 5 MP shooter. Both the cameras will be capable of 1080p video recording at 30 fps. It will also feature a USB Type-C along with a slim waist line of 6.9mm as its USP.
The Gionee S6 is made out of metal and has a screen to body ratio of 77% with an almost bezel-less display design. It also has dual SIM capability where the second SIM is a hybrid SIM/microSD slot. There is also LTE connectivity for faster internet surfing along with a big 3150 mAh battery.
Out of the box, the device will feature Android 5.1 Lollipop themed with Gionee’s AMIGO OS 3.1. The device is currently priced at around USD 266 and should be available soon.
