Popular speaker and computer peripheral brand Creative has launched a tablet under the brand name Smart. The tablet is codenamed as the Smart SQ718 3G and priced at Rs 8,999 in India.
The Smart SQ718 3G features a 7-inch WSVGA 202ppi IPS display. The device is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382 processor and 1GB of RAM. It has an 8GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. For photography, the tablet comes with 5MP rear camera with flash and 2MP front camera.
The device has dual SIM options with Video calling support. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, GPS/ A-GPS, and GPRS/ EDGE.
The price of 9K seems to be a little high for the specifications the tablet comes with. It will attract a majority of people from suburban areas and cities where the brand has good reviews and less competition from other brands.
