The Moto G Turbo edition has been launched for a price of Rs 14,499 on Flipkart. It is named so because of the TurboPowerTM charging feature present in the phone. Like the Moto G (3rd Generation), this smartphone is IP67 certified, which means that it is water and dust resistant.
The Moto G Turbo edition will be a good choice for Indian buyers since it comes with decent specifications at an affordable price. It also has an octa-core processor and Dual SIM capability, something that most Indian smartphone buyers look for.
Specifications of the Moto G Turbo edition
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Moto G Turbo edition does not lack much. The brainchild is a 1.5 GHz Octa Core Snapdragon processor (+ MSM8929) with an Adreno 405 GPU. There is 2 GB of RAM, which is good enough to handle almost all Android applications. The internal memory is around 16 GB, but external memory up to 32 GB is supported.
The display of the Moto G Turbo edition is a 5-inch LCD capacitive screen, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. For snapping, there is a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The device also supports 4G LTE on both SIMs.
The Moto G Turbo edition comes packed with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 OS. It is also powered by a 2470 mAh Li-ion battery. This should be enough to withstand at least a day’s charge for regular usage. But users will not have to worry about charging this smartphone, thanks to the TurboPower feature.
With the TurboPowerTM feature, the Moto G Turbo edition can get 6 hours of battery power in just 15 minutes of charging. This is because it can support charging up to 15 Watts. This is the central marketing feature of this phone.
The complete Moto G series has been a success in India, but it will take some time to know if people are really interested in having a phone that charges fast. For the price, there are still better phones in the market, but the Motorola brand name does not come cheap.
