Spice mobiles had added another low priced phone in its smartphone lineup. Codenamed Spice Nexian NV-45 the phone is priced at Rs 3799 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart.
Spice Nexian NV-45 is the first device from the company to come tagged with international smartphone brand “Nexian”. The device features a 4.5 inch 218ppi FWVGA display with Dragontrail glass protection over it. It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SPRD7731) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Spice Nexian NV-45 has 8GB of internal space which can be extended up to 32GB via MicroSD card. As far as the camera is concerned the device has a 5MP AF rear shooter and 3.2 MP front camera. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3G.
The battery capacity is a major worry, being just 1650mAh the company claims a 7hs talk time and 250 hrs standby which seems to be a high number compared to its capacity. The dimensions of the phone are 132.5x66x10.6mm and weighs around 141 grams. Sensors included onboard are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The device runs on older Android KitKat 4.4.2, there doesn’t seem to be any update to it.
Amandeep Singh, CEO, Spice Mobiles said during the launch event, “India has the world’s largest youth population who are forever seeking great technology products at pocket-friendly prices.
Catering to this need of young consumers, we are pleased to launch the internationally successful smartphone brand Nexian in India, which will be exclusively available online on Flipkart for our young consumers. Nexian combines high utility functions with a great aesthetic finish to deliver a memorable product experience.”
Overall, the phone seems to a go for first-time users. In terms of performance, the device is expected to give medium range performance with 1GB of RAM. Other specifications seem to be suiting at this price range, yet users can also go for other competing phones with a little extra budget like Lenovo and Karbon etc.
