It is believed that the Bugatti Chrion might reach a top speed of 470 kmph (290 mph), according to reports by a Czech Magazine. Magazin ProDriver CZ announced that the new Bugatti hyper car has 1500 hp of power as well.
The Bugatti Chrion is also expected to accelerate from o to 100 kmph in 2.2 seconds. The Veyron Super Sport (previously Bugatti’s fastest car) reached 100 kmph in 2.5 seconds. If these specifications are true, then the Chiron could be the fastest street-legal car in the world.
450 models of the Bugatti Chrion were already produced and reports cited from various sources also revealed that more than 100 of them were booked. The latest news is that Bugatti is going ahead to build 500 units totally.
The Bugatti brand, which comes under Volkswagen’s umbrella, has not been profitable to the German car manufacturer, although it sells the costliest products. Bugatti is now looked as a luxury car brand more than a sport car brand.
Bugatti has never revealed any design details about the Chiron. However, it is obvious that it might steal a major part of its design from the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept. The other details, including the engine and transmission are also not clearly known.
This hyper car is also a hybrid, and that is one reason why it performs better than its predecessors. The Bugatti Chrion is expected to be priced at around $2.19 million and it is expected to be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016.
Volkswagen will also be at the CES 2016, where it could silently showcase some features of the Bugatti Chrion. In terms of numbers, the Chiron is really huge, including the price. It might also be a savior for the defamed German Automaker.
Many images of the Bugatti Chrion are around the internet, but most of them are spy shots or rendered images. There is no official release of the Chiron yet.
