A new Chevrolet Cruze hatchback has been revealed and the design is not so satisfying. Ever since the first version of the Cruze was released in India, it had been under the knife for many modifications. The latest one, however, is a hatchback, taking its cues from the previous sedan.
The boxy, muscular look is traded for a fluidic design, which has the likes of a Mercedes Benz or a Hyundai hatchback. Chevrolet had been planning for a Cruze hatchback for quite some time. The latest version is a shortened one.
The Chevrolet Cruze hatchback might be targeting the middle-class Indian consumer because sedans do not sell very well here. But as far as the design is concerned, it has really lost the ‘Cruze’ trademark.
Many rendered images of the Chevrolet Cruze were being published on many websites, but they were just the hatchback version of the previously existing coupe. The images revealed by Chevrolet, on the other hand, show that the automobile giant had different plans.
Design wise, the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback looks more aerodynamic and efficient. The engine might be a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol version. According to a few reports, it is expected that the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback will come to the market in late 2016.
