In a recent Facebook love story, an Indian girl went beyond borders to marry a Pakistani boy. We do hope they live happily ever after.
Everywhere we see people with their smartphones and if you get a chance to peek into them, they would be social networking. Most of the persons who are shy to talk in person start their approach in Facebook. Many successful relationships have their roots in FB.
In this Facebook love story, a girl called Mehrunissa, hailing from India, abandoned her family and fled to Pakistan to marry her Facebook love, Jiaz Khan, who is of age 24 from the Swat district. The couple frantically announced their marriage on the 10th of January as the girl’s Visa would expire in 3 days.
She had requested the Pakistan government to extend the validity of her Visa as she is afraid to return to India stating that she will face dangerous consequences from the anti-Pakistani organizations. But a few sources reveal that her request has been turned down.
Another girl from USA, Armaeno Shario Anjli, who has served in the Las Vegas Police Department, married a Pakistani boy named Taseerullah hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after their relationship in Facebook.
Online dating applications like Tinder, Badoo etc. have become famous over the past year and a huge number of people are using them to find their loved ones. Although technology is taking over, there are still many people who believe that love cannot be found on social media or the internet.
Even in India, most arranged marriages make uses of online matrimony services, where the Internet still remains the major matchmaker. Needless to say, there are even online matrimony services for specific communities.
