The Lexus LC 500 is one of the most amazing cars at the Detroit Auto Show this year. It is a coupe, which is based on the Lexus LF-LC concept that was featured in 2012 at the same show. However, after 4 years of sculpting and designing, it seems as though the best could take down its rivals easily.
There were many new cars at the DAS this year, and most of them were hybrids, as it was expected. However, the Lexus LC 500 will not be on the roads until 2017.
Performance of the Lexus LC 500
Under the hood, the Lexus LC 500 comes with a massive 5-liter V8 engine. This is similar to the ones found on the Lexus RC F and the GS F. This V8 is mounted to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The number of speeds must enable quicker responses and make the car a bit fun to drive. (We are not fans of automatics).
The Lexus LC 500 is in the news for its amazing infotainment package. The interior of the car looks plush with amazing styling. There is a sound generator that will work from the interior and amplify the original sound of the engine.
For those of you who do not know, Lexus is Toyota’s luxury car brand and it has been improving over the years. The characteristics and the elements of design in these cars remain constant and Lexus is focused on catering to the high-end customer.
In case you want some weight reduction, the Lexus LC 500 can also come with a carbon fiber roof. The price of the car is not known yet, but we are sure it is not going to be cheap. The coupe has attracted many visitors at the Detroit Auto Show, but will it attract some real customers?
Stay tuned for more news from DAS 2016.
