The Most Expected VR Gadgets in 2016

The first traces of Virtual Reality (or) VR came during the 1950s. That went on for a few more years to until they had enough resources and technology to master it. Now, we are in the 21st century and many VR gadgets are available to use with your smartphones like Samsung’s VR which was released back in November 2015.

E3 2015 showcased some of the best VR gadgets that are now in development. In this article, we will be looking at the top 5 most expected VR gadgets in 2016 and their prices.


1. Oculus Rift ($599)


Oculus uses a head-mounted display (HMD) with a head-tracking system and a  5.6 inch OLED screen with a display resolution of 2160×1200 (1080×1200 per eye) with a refresh rate of 90hz.

During their Kickstarter campaign, the company raised $2.5 million for development. It has a hefty price tag and requires a very High-End PC. The gadget itself looks very promising with many games releasing this year with VR support.

Additionally, the team is working with CPU and GPU manufacturers to reduce cost. The Rift is scheduled for release on March 28, 2016, making it one of the first consumer-targeted virtual reality headsets.
