What is Project BudG?

The gaming community around the world comprises of a lot of youngsters, statistics even point out that college students form a huge percentage of the total community. While the gaming community is divided within itself into consoles, PC and Mac (just making sure they feel included). The main agenda of all these different subdivisions is to game and have fun.

While some people can afford high performance gloriously built gaming rigs, others simply can’t. If you are in a country like India, you know that the suffering is real. With the advent of new GPUs and processors, retailers are trying to do away with the old stock (that’s great news for anyone looking to buy computer components). You may be skeptical about buying last generation hardware, but some of the variants are so good that they give the next generation hardware a run for their money.

Although consoles might sound lucrative because of their ability to play games for extend duration, computers might make more sense if you are a student on a budget. But the cost of building a computer that can perform on par with the PS4 or the Xbox One might sound threatening. How would you feel if we told you that it’s possible to build a computer that can play games on par (and most of the times better) with the PS4 and costs about the same? Well, that’s where Project BudG (pronounced as Budgee) comes in, it’s an affordable gaming PC built at the cost of a medium-end PS4 costing around INR 37,500 in India.
