What is Project WarGer?
In our earlier write up of Build-it, Project BudG, we focused on the budget oriented gaming community in India which comprises mostly of college goers which led us thinking that maybe not everyone needs a gaming PC. There are many engineering students out there who just want a PC for their educational purposes which can run specific programs if you are one among them then this one is for you!
A lot of work-oriented programs like Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD heavily rely on a CPUs single core performance and are hence thought to be Intel optimized, which is true to an extent because AMD CPUs focus more on multi-threaded performance and less on single core performance (though that’s steadily changing now).
Project WarGer is an INR 25,000 (with shipping charges) build that is specifically designed for Civil, Mechanical and Automobile engineers (and anyone who makes use of this software in general). This build focusses on fantastic single core performance to enable smoother operation of these applications and as a bonus, we’ll also focus on adding some amount of gaming capabilities to it as well. Read on to learn more about this build. This build is focused around India with purchase links from Indian retailers, although you are free to assemble the system elsewhere and it will still work well.
