Pierre Terblanche, the man behind the design of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and a few other models, has just resigned from his post. The Royal Enfield lead designer, who has been with the company for quite a while, had worked with Volkswagen, Ducati and a few other well-known automobile firms.
Though Pierre Terblanche worked from the Royal Enfield office in London, he headed various design projects for the company. Now, the 60-year-old veteran designer’s resignation has put a question as to who will be next at the helm of this RE’s design.
Though Royal Enfield did not do too well in sales a few years back, the motorcycle manufacturer sold a lot of units last year. The resignation of the company’s lead designer sparks some controversy over his relationship with the senior management.
However, there has been no information from Royal Enfield about this and whom they are choosing to replace Pierre. The story is building and we are trying to gather more information on this. Watch this space for more updates.
