Asus Zenfone 3 Max Launched in India: Comes in 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch Models

Asus has just announced that two handsets from the latest iteration of its successful ZenFone lineup will be available in India soon. While it is just two different variants of the same Asus ZenFone 3 Max, I think we can safely mark them as two distinct phones because of the different hardware they run on.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Max comes in two different variants, one of them is fitted with a 5.2-inch display, while the other has a considerably larger 5.5-inch display.

The little 5.2 inch Asus ZenFone 3 Max

The 5.2 inch model of the ZenFone 3 Max has a 1080p display with a pixel density of 424ppi. The processor powering this variant will be a quad-core MediaTek MT6737T. It will be featuring 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which can be expanded by using a microSD card.

The rear camera is 13 megapixels and can shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps. The front camera is 5 megapixels which should be sufficient for clicking quick selfies and video conferencing.

The handset also comes with dual SIM support, a fingerprint sensor and a huge 4100 mAh battery which can be used to charge other devices using the bundled USB-OTG (on the go) cable.

This variant is priced at around INR 12,999 which roughly translates to USD 195.

The bigger 5.5 inch Asus ZenFone 3 Max

The 5.5 inch variant of the ZenFone 3 Max is also fit with a 1080p display that features a slightly lower pixel density of 401ppi. The processor powering this variant will be an octa-core Snapdragon 430 from Qualcomm. It will be featuring 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which can be expanded by using a microSD card.

The rear camera will capture images in 16 megapixels, it is also expected to perform well in low light due to the wide f/2.0 aperture it comes with. The rear camera is also packed with features like Laser and phase detection autofocus for blazing fast focus speeds.

The front camera is an 8 megapixel unit with f/2.2 aperture which should be more than adequate for taking selfies and video conferencing.

The handset also comes with dual SIM support, a fingerprint sensor and a huge 4100 mAh battery which can be used to charge other devices using the bundled USB-OTG (on the go) cable.

This variant will be priced at around INR 17,999 which translates to around USD 270.
